They say that Jesus and Jollof are the two things they cannot live without; I think the quote emphasizes the role of faith in making progress towards your goals.
Mercy Amba Oduyoye, Director of the Institute for Women in Religion and Culture, is at Trinity Theological Seminary in Ghana. I recently heard her speak at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana at the 33rd Madaleva Lecture. Her topic was Women in Africa:Spirituality, Health, and Healing and these words were among the many that have stayed with me.
